Baby Stuff and Letter Off to France

My wonderful step-son and his wife are expecting their second child in September.  My (only) daughter and her husband are expecting their first child in October.  Well, that's just license for me to go wild making baby things!  And I've been busy!

I still have the Christening blanket I knitted for my daughter 30 years ago.  For some reason, I kept the last portion of the skein of yarn I used for the blanket - and knitted up these booties:
You can find the pattern here.

Baby things are so CUTE!  Here is a baby quilt I quickly stitched up yesterday from Keepsake Quilting.  It's called "Honey Bee Mine".
I finished this one Friday - also from Keepsake Quilting.  It's called "Bundle of Joy".

Managed to find these labels and attached them to the back of each quilt:

Here is the letter I'm sending today for the DMC exhibit I blogged about yesterday.
Just got done shampooing carpets in our lower level.  WHEW!  Tired.  Think I'll have a cup of tea and take a breath.

Keep yourself surrounded in stitches ~ Cheers ~

  11. There is nothing better than grandbabies. I too saved the knitted and crocheted blankets that I received for our boys and we are using them for the grandbabies as well. The booties are wonderful. I'm just learning to knit. Enjoy. It's all beautiful.
