I Work as Little as Possible

That's the motto of NAME - National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (click here to find out more).

Our local chapter/club, Metro Mini Makers hosted a show a few weeks ago. My BFF, Barb, and I went to the show and were immediately smitten by the small stuff. I purchased a sewing box that required some gluing and assembly:

It's kind of cute, isn't it?

Here are some of the displays we saw -

A lovely house with a wrap around front porch

A Fairy Garden

A display of rugs and pictures stitched on 28 Ct linens

And a beautiful water garden

Hmmmm…..is there a miniature room I need to design coming in my future??? Watch this space….

  4. Oh how tiny! The little sewing box is so cute though at first I did think it was slices of a walnut hull, LOL! Love the idea of the fairy garden. I was never much one for dollhouses, preferring to play with animals and dirt instead haha. :D

  5. Hello Kim.

I do love the fairy garden, good luck with the box making. I do wonder what else you have purchased. Can't wait to see.

    Happy days.

  9. Oh Kim!! I love miniatures...I built my first dollhouse (from a kit) when I was about 13. I had asked for a dollhouse for YEARS, and my dad's answer was finally, "build it yourself!" So I did!! I haven't done any mini stuff in quite a while, but I do still love them. My daughter is 5 now, and maybe someday soon she'll be old enough to handle delicate things while still young enough at heart to be fascinated by their tininess.... :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  12. I just love miniatures including dolls houses and model railway layouts! The tiny work is is adorable.

I went to a couple of local dolls house exhibitions and met a lady stitching Old Masters on 50 count gauze.

Love the Fairy Garden idea too.
