BRRRRRRRRR!!!

Greetings from frozen Iowa!  We are at the start of a cold snap - the current temperature is -3F with a wind chill of -15F.  And guess what?  It's going to get COLDER!! YIKES!  Oh - wait - there's more - up to 7 inches of snow later today into tomorrow.  That's the not so good news….

The GOOD NEWS is I'll be snowbound and will just have to cuddle up with the puppy, (DH), some stitching  and some good, old movies…..
 HAPPY DANCE!!

You may have noticed my blog looks a bit different.  I'm trying to learn how to have a collection of pictures at the top of my blog - I see others have them and it looks so very nice.  As you can tell, I've not  figured it out yet.  Also, the layout colors look a little - er - off…..trying to figure out how to fix that, too. Hmmmmm……with the inclimate weather, looks like I may have some time on my hands - if my stitching doesn't beckon to me instead - HA!

So, my friends - stay warm - have a cuppa - I know a good, hot cup of tea (or two) is on my list.

  1. That sounds like a great idea, movies and stitching, staying toasty warm! We here on the Canadian prairies are experiencing -40* to -50* from an Arctic air mass sitting on top of us. Your Tudor stitchery is just lovely.

  2. I don't understand. I was doing a Happy Dance the moment I started reading about the temperature, the wind chill, the snow, & the fact that it's getting colder!!! Of course I was doing the Jealousy Dance too! You are making me homesick for my 10 years in North Dakota where, incidentally, a wind chill of -15 would be a winter heat wave : ) Sigh! Good times, good times.

  4. We are currently at -6º. Don't know the wind chill, but it is so windy and cold right now. Keep warm my friend. Love the needlepoint up top.

  5. Oh, wow, that's really cold where you are. Our temps have gone up for a couple of days so that there doesn't remain a lot of the 16" snow we got the day after Christmas. I'm always glad to see the snow melt.

  6. Yikes! That's so cold! Stay warm, Kim. Try this: http://fotoflexer.com/ It's the website I use to combine more than one photo into one photo that I can upload to my blog header. Enjoy! :D

  7. Cold is right. You wouldn't catch me outside all winter. It's about 45 here and I'm freezing.

  9. If you want to have lots of pictures together on your header the easy way is to go to a photo editing site. I went to picmonkey. I made a collage with some of my photos and then uploaded the collage as a single picture! Have a look at my blogheader to see what I mean. I love snow!We don't have it often. We have bitter cold now!AriadnefromGreece!

  10. Well, you could always send the cold and snow to Shirlee and me! We would be happy to take it off your hands. Enjoy your time to hunker down and stitch.

  13. Hope you're braced for tomorrow's fun cold! :) I'm a little bit south of you so we don't have it quite as rough but I will still turtle up under blankets these next few days. I would like to have some of the snow though!
