Feels Good!

Well, I'm back on the Stitching Wagon again. YEA! Here's a design from Brookes Books - getting a head start for Christmas gifts 😁

I've started on quilt blocks.....but now I can't find the muslin I was using, so I may have to start over - AUGH!!!!

But I'll worry about that when I return from visiting family in Arizona for a week. I'm leaving DH and the dogs to guard the house - HA!

Hope everyone is doing well and stitching away. Cheers!

Six Wives Club - Anne Boleyn Badge Cross Stitch Pattern

Last year, I offered to post cross stitch patterns of the badges of each of Henry VIII's wives. Sadly, I only made it to the first one - Katherine of Aragon. HOWEVER, with the new year, comes a new badge - that of Anne Boleyn.

The symbolism of the falcon, tree stump and red rose (of Lancaster) and white rose (of York), crown and sceptre is deep and intriguing. Visit On the Tudor Trail for what this represents.

Anne's motto was "The most happy." She adopted the motto before her coronation.

If you are so inclined to stitch Anne Boleyn's badge, the pattern can be found here.

Happy stitching!!!

Believe it or not.....

.....I'm still around. I know I've been absent/remiss/a bad blogger.....life just seemed to go into overdrive last year. SHEESH.

Having hobbies that are sedentary brings a challenge to being healthy - at least for me. SO, thinking I needed to improve my health, I joined the YMCA. Loved going to water aerobics twice a week....until we had the arctic cold snap and suddenly getting into a swim suit at 7:30AM wasn't appealing anymore. (Yes, the pool is heated, but somehow, it just doesn't seem RIGHT 🙀). So instead of water aerobics, I moved to the elliptical machine, rowing machine and a spinning class. LOVE the spinning class. Not wanting to embarrass myself, I claim the bike that's in the last row in the back. That's all good. However, being exuberant, I increased the resistance on the rowing machine and, come to find out - I wasn't ready.

Yep - pulled a muscle in my wrist. DRAT. That also translates to not being able to do any stitching. DOUBLE DRAT.

ANYWHO, I'm bound and determined to get back on the Blogging Bandwagon in 2018.

Thank you for being my friends. Missed you guys!
