Vintage Embroidery Monday and Stitchery Link Party

Here it is - MONDAY - and time for the Link Party hosted by Super Mom - No Cape!

Here is a needlepoint pillow designed by Kaffe Fassett. I purchased this in kit form in the late 1980s and took it with me while I travelled on business around the country. I really looked forward to going back to my hotel room, getting something to eat and then getting out my needlepoint.

I have several of his books and one of his DVDs. I love his designs - they are so inspiring.

Kaffe Fassett Needlepoint Pillow - 12 x 17 inches

Don't forget to leave a comment in my previous post to enter my birthday month giveaway.

Until next time -

  1. Oh Kim... this is beautiful. I can see why you looked forward to getting back to your hotel room so you could work on it. Traveling while working, it might have been difficult to face going back to an empty hotel room... but with something like this to work on, it would pass the time so much more pleasantly.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for linking back! Aloha hugs!

  2. What a gorgeous cushion Kim. I have also worked away from home in the post and found it very comforting to have some stitching with me. I'm sure you have lots of lovely memories of your travels when you look at this piece.

  3. What a pretty pillow, Kim--I didn't realize Kaffe Fassett had down needlepoint kits... Whenever I travel I just have to have a little piece of my stitching with me--makes me feel quite at home :)

  4. Oh how adorable. Yes, I have seen the Kaffe Fassett Needlepoint Cat book at the library. Every time I do, I wish he had a dog version. ;)
