This year, I'm trying to get more in the spirit of the season. The needlepoint stockings I made for DH, my daughter, the dogs and myself are out of their storage place. They were hung with care:
And here is a heart flower for Day 9 of the Sew Advent SAL:
Keep yourself surrounded by stitches ~ Cheers ~
You have done a wonderful job with the stockings you made Kim. How beautiful and all unique and special.
ReplyDeleteKim ... your needlepoint stockings are beautiful! I'm so sorry about your mom's passing last year. My thoughts & prayers are with you as I know she is especially on your mind at this time.
ReplyDeleteYour stockings and Advent stitch are both beautiful. What a difficult time of year it must be. I'm glad you feel able to put your decorations up this year.
ReplyDeleteOh My!! Your stockings are wonderful and look brilliant on your fire place.
ReplyDeleteAnd I must say that your SAL is coming along lovely too! It looks so pretty with the white and red :)
Sending smiles your way :)
I feel for you. My son passed away 4 weeks before XMAS 2 years ago. I still haven't put up any decorations. Only the cards I have received. I know I should be putting up something for the grandchildren but it is so hard.... You are doing very well. I love your stockings. My mums friends have stitched some of them too
ReplyDeleteThe stockings look great Kim.

Lovely stockings Kim , and your SAL is looking beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your moms passing , I lost my dad two years ago the day after Christmas.
It's hard at Christmas time. I always light a candle Christmas Eve to let my loved ones know I am thinking of them and in a way it feel's like letting them be part of our Christmas.
Lovely stocKongs Kim xx
